The National Historic Preservation Act and the Section 106 Process

$190.00The Jornada Research Institute is pleased to announce its annual two-day training class on the National historic Preservation Act/Section 106 and related Legislation, on August 21st and 22nd, 9 – 4 pm. The class will be held at the U.S Bureau of Reclamation Albuquerque Area Office.
Cost for the class is $190.00 per attendee, $180.00 for JRI members and students. Emphasis is on the historical context and background of historic preservation legislation, the major provisions of NHPA including Sections 101, 106 and Section 110, working through the 106 process, National Register of Historic Places criteria and eligibility, traditional cultural properties, stakeholder roles and potential areas of conflict. The course is designed for CRM professionals and interested non-professionals and meets the New Mexico Historic Preservation Division’s requirements for continuing education credits.
